Sog Powerpint

Another multitool from my small collection. The Sog Powerpint is one of the smallest multitools you can find. It packs 18 tools into a very compact frame.

The Powerpint next to it’s big brother, the Leatherman Surge

The Leatherman Surge boasts 21 tools but the Sog Powerpint borrow tool placement of the main tools from the Leatherman wave / surge platform. It has 4 tools accessed from the outside with one hand. These are the straight blade, the scissors, the serrated blade and the file.

Unlike the Surge or Wave (which are similar Leatherman tools), the rest of the tools held in the handles can be accessed from outside of the handles. There is no need to open the Powerpint to access any tool except the pliers and crimper.

The trade off is the tool must be opened to release the lock and put the tools away.

Ultimately the Powerpint will not be as strong as a larger tool, but it is so light and easy to carry, you can always have it on you, even when other tools may take up too much pocket space.
