The slide on my daily carry is stainless steel. I’ve started a new morning ritual. I wake up, clear my pistol, inspect it for rust, dust, or any other issues. I then spray a little ballistol onto a cotton pad and wipe the gun’s exterior metal surfaces down.
Every weekend I field strip it, and wipe down the rails, other internals with a few drops of Lucas Gun Oil.
This weapon is in my waistband all day and every day, for the one moment I may need it. I’m going to make sure if that day arrives that my firearm functions.
