I picked up my Hellcat about a week ago and I’ve been rocking it inside the waistband in a Harry’s Holster all day, every day. I’ve hugged people, been in public numerous places, and nobody, not even my wife, knew I was strapped. I’ve worn just a fitted black t-shirt. Yet nobody has noticed at all. The reason I believe is people’s eyes are up high, they aren’t usually staring at your midsection. I’m entering low security places where nobody is expecting or concerned about a gun. Makes me wonder how many times a day we all walk past people with a gun shoved in their waistband. Probably way more times than an unarmed person cares to think about 🙂
I also don’t go many places, but I’ve had contractors working on the house and have had my gun on all day even when chatting with them and really nobody has had a clue.
It’s super comfy, they really go above and beyond on smoothing out the edges and corners to make it something you can wear. I take my gun off when I sleep (some people actually just keep it on, it’s not common but people do). I take it off to shower and to do my workouts. I do go on walks with it, and have had no issues with people passing by taking notice either.
I’m rocking the shorty, it’s made from a single sheet of kydex with retention adjustment.
It has a built in wing which helps push the holster and the grip of the gun into the body. This is the only holster I’ve ever been able to wear comfortably at this point and I am in love. I really thought I just didn’t have the body type to appendix carry, but I guess I do.
I’ve mentioned it before but I’m using a Mastermind Tactics Covert belt. This is a rigid belt with a thin bar that you loop one side of the belt through and fasten with Velcro. It is designed to be worn against the body underneath your clothing for the holster to clamp on to.

I had picked up a Hawg stash holster for pocket carry .. and for a smaller gun like the bodyguard 2.0 it might be effective. It fits in my pocket but it is fairly thick and prevents me from getting my hand on the grip and pulling the gun out. I’m going to give the desantis Nemisis a try and see how it goes. I may try an Alabama holster, Vedder Pocket Locker, or a Muddy River Tactical pocket holster for it.
The desantis is a fabric holster and I don’t want to blow my balls off… with nearly 10,000 reviews on Amazon it must be safe, but you must reholster it if pulled – outside of the pocket. This is true of any pocket holster.
I’m not worried about anything pulling that trigger but I am worried about the gun falling out of my pocket. I may have to test this. Squatting, bending, sitting, etc.
I really want to pocket carry this gun, but if I cannot, appendix does work quite well. In the winter, when wearing a jacket, pocket carry should be easy even with a larger holster. Coat pockets are generously sized.
I’ve also off body carried in a cross body bag. I like that option as well but worry if we have a toddler or older child who might be tempted to unzip my bag. You can’t set the bag down or take it off your body, you must remain physically in control of the firearm at all times.. and off body makes it easy to get lazy.
