Back in the day, speed loading a revolver wasn’t exactly a thing, it was slow. Now there are speed strips and speed loader devices – it back then, this solved the problem.

Today’s defensive carriers just carry a spare mag, it takes half a second to reload a semi auto handgun now, if you’re practiced and fast with it.
